Yesterday we wrote about some matches taking place in the ESL EMS groupstage, but one match we missed to write about was the one between Die Doppelnullen and Team Coolermaster. TCM, who recently beat Ubersexuals and in the EMS groupstage and also ended on a shared first place in ETF2L Div 1, was pretty much expexted to bring this match home rather easy. Doppelnullen however managed to win the match, taking at 4-1 win on freight, lost 0-9 on granary and finally won 1-0 on the decider map badlands with a golden cap. This was surley one of the biggest upsets in the TF2 scene for a long time.
With two wins so far for Die Doppelnullen, they have now secured a spot in the prestigious play-off.
Some time ago we reported about the close down of the british organization mousetek. Today however, have the former owner of mousetek oLi aswell as the Team Fortress 2 team found a new home, in the console clan named The Imperial. The organization host teams in such games as Unreal Tournament 3, Halo 3 and Gears of War.
The new The Imperial.TF2 ended on second place in the ETF2L div 2A which shows that the team is something to reckon with in the future.
Northwave Gaming Association is expanding and are now proud to present a new game and team to our organization. The game is the popular Counter-Strike:Source and the team we picked up is a Danish talented team called Playback. Some of the players origins from teams such as Noob_v2 and medityGaming.dk, and the team will attend the next danish "SLAP live #17" LAN.
With some good practise results and a high motivation we believe very strongly in this newly formed team. Welcome and good luck wishes the Northwave management.
The TF2 EMS Season III Groupstage continues with two matches played tonight. First up in group C we see the upcoming ETF2L Div 1 team Druidz taking on the less famous Babylon eSports on granary. With Babylon coming from ETF2L Div 3C, Druidz should have no problems winning this match.
In the second match, in group D, we find the top team Ubersexuals playing against the rather unsuccessfull ETF2L Div 1 team TFPortal.de, who lost all of their matches in Div 1. The two teams met earlier in ETF2L where Ubersexuals secured the win by taking home both maps. Will TFPortal take revenge tonight?
The groupstage of the ESL EMS Season III has already begun last week. The groupstage includes four groups with four teams in each group, which will be followed by a play off later on.
Last week the following matches was played:
Group D: redLine vs. TFPortal.de 3-0 (1-0, 1-0)
Group A: Pandemic vs. rats-clan 3-0 (2-0, 4-1)
Group A: Crack Clan vs. plan-B 3-0 (13-2, 8-1)
Tonight we can see the first match in group C beeing played, between Four Kings and the opponents n2o - gaming.TF2. According to the ESL website have more matches been played but are missing results so it's very likley that atleast some of these matches have been rescheduled.
Over at Cadred have they picked up their interview serie and made an in-depth interview with Ubersexuals captain and medic dunc. The interview is about dunc as a person and as a gamer, including questions about Ubersexuals, the UK national team and the TF2 scene in general.
With the end of ETF2L some week ago there have been little to none action among the top TF2 teams. Tonight however, will the semifinals in Clanbase's Open Cup take place.
Two very interesting semifinals between probably the four best teams in Europe, as Four Kings will play their biggest rival Ubersexuals. Last time the two teams met was in ETF2L where they won one map each in a very exciting and fun match. The other semifinal, between Team Coolermaster and Crack! clan will be played tomorrow.
Tonights match can be watches on either Source TV or stream by Quadv!
Northwave have been without a Team Fortress 2 team ever since our swedish team folded a couple of months ago. Today however are we making a step back in to the scene, as the former I don't know? 2 team are joining our ranks and becoming Northwave.tf2.
The Idk2 team have just recently won Div 3A in ETF2L and will play in the second division next season. They were formerly a part of the I don't know organization, as their second TF2 team. With some talented players and a lot of experience, plus a few quality PCW results under their belt, the new Northwave TF2 team should be competing for a top place in ETF2L's second division.
With our former Call of Duty 4 team currently beeing inactive, waiting for the release of Call of Duty 5, we decided to bring in another all finish team to our organization. The team who will represent us in Cod4 is the former mY Little POny Farm. The team is currently active on the Clanbase promod ladder and will hopefully participate in the next upcoming Cod4 LAN:s in Finland.
We would like to wish them the best of luck and hope they will enjoy their stay in Northwave.
